All vehicles are insured for damage to the vehicle and third party property. You are responsible for the first AU$7,500 or AU$1,800 for the Rookie (the excess).
This amount is debited to your credit card when the vehicle is collected and held as your excess. For this reason it is important that your credit card has sufficient funds available so as not to exceed your withdrawal allowance.
Accepted credit cards are Visa, Mastercard and American Express. A non-refundable surcharge of 1.75% will apply to all Visa and Mastercard credit card transactions, with 4.5% applicable to American Express. Credit card surcharges also apply to debited security deposits and only the hirer's credit card is acceptable to use for the security bond.
The Terms and Conditions documents (available for download at bottom of page) contain a summary of some of the rental conditions. For detailed conditions, refer to the rental agreement upon vehicle collection.

We offer two options to reduce this excess:
2WD Excess Reduction Option 1 – AU$20 per day (maximum charge of AU$1,000)
4WD Excess Reduction Option 1 – AU$25 per day (maximum charge of AU$1,250)
Note: This Option is not avaiable for the Rookie.
The excess is reduced to AU$2500, which is held as your security deposit. The AU$2500 is debited to your credit card when the vehicle is collected.
Rookie 2WD Excess Reduction Option 2 - AU$19 per day (maximum charge of AU$570)
2WD Excess Reduction Option 2 – AU$38 per day (maximum charge of AU$1,900)
4WD Excess Reduction Option 2 – AU$47 per day (maximum charge of AU$2,350)
The excess is reduced to Nil for 2WDs and to AU$440 for 4WDs. A security deposit of AU$220 (2WD) or AU$440 (4WD) is taken to ensure the vehicle is returned clean with an empty toilet and full of fuel. The amount is taken as an imprint of your credit card.
Excess Reduction Option 2 is included in the Britz Bonus Pack.

No Worries Cover Option
The No Worries Cover option is a one off fee of AU$50 for 2WDs and AU$120 for 4WDs per hire. The No Worries Cover option is only available when Excess Reduction Option 2 has been purchased. Note the No Worries Cover option is included in the Britz Bonus Pack. The No Worries Cover option extends the cover available with Excess Reduction Option 2 to include cover for accidental damage to the overhead and underbody sections of the campervan. Please note overhead and underbody damage cover is excluded unless the No Worries Cover option has been purchased.

All debited bonds (plus any other credit card transactions) are subject to a non-refundable credit card surcharge of 1.75% (Visa and Mastercard) or 4.5% (Amercian Express) in addition to the bond amount.
Don’t forget to check that your credit card has the funds available and that the amount does not exceed your daily withdrawal allowance.
